The staggered cutting action of the inserts greatly reduces noise compared to traditional straight blades, as they only cut a small portion of the 15mm length at a time. When an edge becomes dull or chipped, it can be quickly and easily rotated to reveal a new, sharp edge without the need to replace the entire insert. Only replace inserts when all four edges have been used. This significantly reduces downtime, as the carbide inserts are readily available and inexpensive. Additionally, the use of carbide inserts reduces the amount of sanding required by up to three-quarters, and they have a lifespan that is 50 times longer than high-speed steel blades.
